Enablement’s credibility crisis: should it own revenue outcomes?
Enablement is under pressure to prove its worth, and the easy fix is to tie itself to revenue numbers. But is that the right move, or a trap? This session asks the question enablement leaders are increasingly facing: should enablement own a revenue target, or does that ownership quietly set it up to fail? We'll look at why credibility is slipping, what's driving the push toward revenue accountability, and what gets lost when enablement is measured purely on numbers it can influence but never control. We'll cover: • Why enablement keeps getting asked to justify its existence • The case for and against owning revenue outcomes directly • Alternative measures of credibility that hold up with finance and sales leadership Expect a candid look at where enablement's credibility really comes from, and whether chasing revenue ownership helps or hurts the cause.
