Brian
Kainec
Global Head of Sales Enablement
Commvault
Brian helps go-to-market teams sell with clarity and confidence. His 20+ year career began as an enterprise messaging engineer, evolved into consulting, and later into entrepreneurship, where he co-founded and successfully exited an award-winning managed services business. He then led global presales for the world’s largest software reseller and MSP, followed by a role at AWS, where he led strategic field programs that raised the bar for customer and internal engagement. Today, Brian leads the global sales enablement and readiness team at Commvault, the worldwide leader in cyber resilience. He aligns narrative, skills, and tools so the field can drive better conversations, build real pipeline, and increase win rates. His approach anchors on MEDDPICC and Command of the Message, supported by clear frameworks, coaching, and measurable outcomes across pipeline quality, win rates, and ramp. He is a developer of people first—coaching, listening, and turning potential into performance. Outside of work, Brian is a husband, a dad, and a beer-league triathlete. He believes that, much like in sales, success in triathlon is driven by effort, determination, and—above all—solid preparation.

Fireside chat: How data earns enablement a voice in the boardroom
Why do some enablement leaders get invited into strategic conversations while others stay tactical? The difference is data. This fireside chat explores how partnering with RevOps and owning key revenue metrics transforms enablement from a support function into a strategic voice. We’ll unpack real examples of how data on win rates, ramp, and deal velocity shapes decision-making, influences headcount and budget, and secures credibility with CROs and CFOs. It’s not about building dashboards - it’s about earning influence. Key Takeaways - Beyond content consumption and LMS reports - Linking enablement to pipeline, productivity and performance - Using evidence to shape GTM strategy, not just support it
