Toast
Margaret Long Hatfield is a Principal II Sales Enablement Manager at Toast, where she owns the end-to-end strategy, design, and execution of enablement programs supporting the Customer Growth sales team, and supports initiatives across the broader sales organization. She began her career as a professional chef and later taught in a professional culinary arts program, building curriculum and coaching students one by one. As an early Toast customer, she ran a hospitality business on Toast for 3 years. In 2022 she joined Toast as a territory account executive, selling to operators like the one she had been, and moved into enablement the following year. Margaret has been the chef, the teacher, the operator, and the rep, and now builds the programs that train the people who sell to the person she used to be.

Panel discussion: Completion rates don't close deals
Your CRO doesn't care how many reps finished the course. They care about win rates, ramp time and deal size. Yet most enablement teams still report on attendance and completions, then wonder why their budget is the first to go. The gap isn't effort. It's the scoreboard. Our panel of enablement leaders will share how they tied their programs to the numbers leadership already tracks. They'll walk through the metrics they dropped, the ones they kept and the conversations that got them into forecast reviews. Expect real examples, including the programs that failed to shift a single number and what they learned. Key takeaways • How to pick the two or three business metrics your work will be judged on • A simple way to link a program to revenue without a data science team • How to present results so leadership asks for more, not less
