Why goodwill isn't a GTM strategy
Relationships get enablement into the room. They don't guarantee anyone remembers to invite you back.
Plenty of enablement teams stay aligned with sales, marketing, and product through nothing more than strong personal relationships and a lot of goodwill, and for a while, that actually works. The trouble shows up the moment someone leaves, priorities shift, or the goodwill simply runs out under pressure, and suddenly the alignment that felt solid was never actually built into anything. Goodwill can hold a system together temporarily. It can't be the system.
This session makes the case for structure over sentiment: what a shared planning cadence looks like when it doesn't depend on who happens to like you, how joint content governance keeps teams aligned even through leadership changes, and where clear escalation paths do the job that a friendly Slack message used to. You'll leave with a way to make alignment durable, not just personal.
